Driving up a long dirt road I could see a large field in front of me. At the top of the hill there was a house and we were going toward it. It was winter outside, but not all that cold. I could see a bunch of cars in the driveway and the grass was frozen. Mom was supposed to ride with us be she didn't want to come. My brother, dad and myself stepped out of the car.

We walked up to the house and opened the front door. We asked the current owners if we could spend Christmas there, and have other family members come out. I guess it was to be a family reunion. The owners told us we could stay and we walked inside the house. The carpet was a cream color with dark brown leather furniture. It was an open room and we all have been here before.

Family was everywhere. Off to the right there was a large couch and people were sitting on it. One of my aunts was sitting at the end, and somehow I was squished between the wall, the couch, and I couldn't get out. My aunt kept talking and talking and talking to her son sitting on the couch in front of me. Everyone was laughing, but I could not move.

She kept telling story after story. My back started to hurt, and my shoulders were cramping. I felt like I was never going to be able to escape. She stood up and walked away. I felt relieved I could stand and get out from behind the couch.

I looked over and my mom drove separate in the second car. She was all done up and wore the same dress as she did to my wedding. She had her hair all done and was sitting in a large single leather chair. She was laughing and giggling with everyone else and we all were happy she was there.

My other Aunt walked in and we all gave her a hug. She experienced a loss and we all wanted to be there for her. She sat down with the rest of us and felt comfortable to join in. My uncle was sitting in a recliner by himself over in the corner. I looked at a map, and saw five tanks were on it. I talked to my brother about the war we had in Metamora. The tanks were Russian, and my uncle was letting us know he was there too. My brother took out the five tanks by driving up behind them and blowing them up.

The doorbell chimed and a co-worker of mine showed up. I told her to come over since she lived close and would be alone. She brought a couple presents over for the little ones and sat down. I started to talk to her and tell her a story about the ghost in the house. She looked at me and said, NATE I told you not to tell me any stories about no ghost. She said she had to leave at nine o’clock now. Do not be telling me any stories about any ghost anymore. I laughed and told her I would not tell you about him anymore.
